Appointments: Panel of Fellows
The SalvaDore is seeking nominations for one Fellow to serve on the Panel of Fellows’ Committee and would like to invite members to consider putting their names forward.
The Panel consists of six Fellows (one of whom is the chair of the panel, designated by the Assembly) but none of whom is a member of the Society’s Assembly.
Candidates for membership of the panel must have been Fellows for a period of at least six years and, if formerly a member of Assembly, will not have been or stood for membership of the Assembly for a period of six years. Members of the panel must still be active in the profession.
The composition of the panel membership should reflect the different interests, aspects and structure of the Society and its individual members, the spectrum of academia, industry, NHS/hospital and community practice, as well as the regional interest and make up of the membership on the register.
The principal characteristics for a member of the Panel of Fellows’ Committee should be based on a wide knowledge of the Society and its membership, and an ability to make an objective assessment of distinction and leadership in pharmacy and pharmaceutical care among candidates put forward for consideration.
The Panel of Fellows reports to the Assembly independently through an annual report, usually submitted at the November Assembly meeting.
To apply for this position, please download the application form and information pack and submit it accompanied with your CV to Yasemin Boran ([email protected]).
The closing date for receipt of all applications is 5pm on Thursday 6 October 2016. Following this date the Appointments Committee (who report to the Assembly) will make its decision and all those who put their names forward will be informed.
