    The summary of product characteristics (SPC) for Adoport (tacrolimus; Sandoz) now states that concomitant use of high potassium intake or potassium-sparing diuretics should be avoided. Additionally, certain combinations of tacrolimus with drugs known to have nephrotoxic or neurotoxic effects may increase the risk of these effects. The use of live attenuated vaccines should be avoided. The updated SPC also states that tacrolimus may cause Torsades de Pointes.

  • NICE recommends olaparib Subscription

    The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has recommended olaparib as an option for treating adults with relapsed, platinum sensitive ovarian, fallopian tube or peritoneal cancer who have BRCA1 or BRCA2 mutations and whose disease has responded to platinum-based chemotherapy (only if they have had three or more courses of platinum-based chemotherapy). The drug cost of olaparib for people who remain on treatment after 15 months must be met by the company.

  • NICE recommends enzalutamide Subscription

    The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has recommended enzalutamide as an option for treating metastatic hormone-relapsed prostate cancer in people who have no or mild symptoms after androgen deprivation therapy has failed, and before chemotherapy is indicated, only when the company provides it with the discount agreed in the patient access scheme.

  • NICE recommends radium-223 dichloride Subscription

    The National Institute of Health and Care Excellence has recommended radium-223 dichloride as an option for treating adults with hormone-relapsed prostate cancer, symptomatic bone metastases and no known visceral metastases, only if they have had treatment with docetaxel and the company provides radium-223 dichloride with the discount agreed in the patient access scheme.

  • NICE recommends panobinostat Subscription

    The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence has recommended panobinostat, in combination with bortezomib and dexamethasone, within its marketing authorisation, as an option for treating adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma or both who have received at least two prior regimens including bortezomib and an immunomodulatory agent. The company must provide panobinostat with the discount agreed in the patient access scheme.

  • NICE does not recommend ramucirumab Subscription
